WHAT TO EXPECT
You can expect to have a wonderful time with a knowledgeable guide in a beautiful coastal environment on a smooth riding very shallow draft fishing boat. The guide will put you in the best places to catch redfish, trout, flounder, sheepshead, drum, jacks, tarpon, mackerel, triple tail or blacktip shark. He will do his best to teach you new techniques, show you cool spots and will never give up. Captain Cooley will work to make this trip to POC a memory you will never forget. On every trip we are guaranteed to see something special that makes the day unique.
Cooley will call you the evening before the trip. We will meet at Froggies Bait Dock at 7 am. We will fish the entire trip, or we can head to the beach for the last hours of the trip. When we get back to Froggies, Captain Cooley will clean your fish and give you advice on how to cook it. He can also point you in the direction of one of POC’s local restaurants.
Remember this is your vacation. Blue Heron Guide Service specializes in all types of fishing and good times. Just let us know what we can do to help.

Fly Fishing
Fly fishing in the back country! This is the ultimate experience in fishing. Imagine casting to a tailing redfish, seeing it eat then watching the entire fight in shallow clear water. The environment that surrounds you while holding your beautiful redfish will make the feeling surreal. It’s relaxing and peaceful yet exciting and intense all at once. Nothing is more challenging, which makes fly fishing the most rewarding.
The Black Duck Cromis will take you to the skinniest back country lagoons and marshes. This skiff is made specifically for the shallow Texas waters and Captain Cooley knows when and where to put you on the fish of your bucket list.
